ITINERARY

MY TREE STEAD

Intended for students in the 9th year of Elementary School and the 3rd year of High School

The restoration of degraded ecosystems, the conservation of biodiversity and the rational use of natural resources are examples of actions that can be incorporated into the school curriculum and students' routine.

ABOUT THE ITINERARY

The adoption of practices that aim to reduce environmental impacts and promote individual and collective responsibility are fundamental steps to guarantee sustainability on our planet.

With this in mind, we propose implementing the subject Meu Pé de Árvore in the school curriculum, with the aim of teaching and mobilizing students to restore our ecosystems through tree planting.

Through practical activities, students will carry out field research, bibliographical analyses, consult experts and carry out restoration activities that mobilize the school and local community.

METHODOLOGY

Using Problem-Based Learning (PBL), the project aims to have students identify degraded areas, analyze the causes, develop a restoration plan and implement the project in practice. Assessment is carried out individually and collectively, considering criteria such as participation in discussions, preparation and presentation of experiments, attendance, empathy and autonomy, written report, mastery of content, group work and meeting deadlines.

CRITICAL THINKING

HOW TO RUN

The completion of this itinerary is divided into four fundamental parts.

Check below how to execute each of them.

PRESENTATION OF CONTENT

In the initial stage, the teacher should present the concepts of degraded areas and some examples of environmental degradation. It is important to start a discussion about the impacts caused and the importance of ecological restoration.
